According to my orthopedist, the best exercise or physical therapy for scoliosis is swimming. Physical, strenuous activities that involve bending your back like weightlifting and sit-ups are NOT ALLOWED. He also recommended a therapy exercise where I would stretch my back for 10 minutes on each side on my bedpost every night. Moreover, he strongly advised me to be wary of my posture in everything I do especially in sitting (for long hours), standing, and walking. Because the degrees were so high, he urged me to wear a Milwaukee brace for two whole years.

You’re going to encounter several dilemmas and suffer an existential crisis more usually now. You’re going to face the ceiling convincing yourself how this is all a bad idea and you should just give up.
It’s perfectly normal to want to tell the whole world about your dream and your excitement to make it happen. It’s okay to tell people about your experiences and the hardships you had to overcome to reach this point. But always remember to work hard for yourself and not for the satisfaction of other people’s expectations. You must train yourself not to allow your self-esteem to be fully dependent on others. You don’t need to always show off you people to constantly praise you for your hard work.
Pat yourself on the shoulder in the face of failure. That means you’re moving forward. That means you’re trying. That means you’re not in the same place as before. Most people think failure is the end of success which is wrong. The mistakes you’ve made are a manifestation of your commitment to your dream. You’re getting out of your comfort zone and trying out new strategies to attack the problem.
Enjoy failure, especially in your teens. Enjoy the fact that you don’t know everything and you can’t learn everything in a single day. You need people to help you get out of that quicksand. Don’t be stubborn; you’re still learning like everybody else. Either in success or in failure, you need to constantly sweat, bleed, and suffer to grow. The reason you feel like giving up is that you’re still gradually transforming into somebody who can take it. You’re still in transition, embrace it.
