Starting my blogging journey helped me sort out my life and lean towards what matters. Since I published my first blog post, blogging became second nature to me. Every minute of the day was dedicated to sourcing for blog topics, writing blog posts, designing pins, blog marketing, and social media. I treated my blog like my start-up business from day one. I was motivated and driven to create something original and helpful to people in their twenties. I would say my life definitely has changed, in terms of habits, productivity, and character development. Blogging made me a better person.
There will always be stages in your life where committing to your regular daily routine feels like a chore. You find it impossible to do things at the time you set simply because you don’t feel like it. You don’t have the motivation nor the willpower to get out of your comfort zone and conquer the day. Just like any other human being, this is totally a normal feeling. But remember that the longer you’re in that anxious or undisciplined state of mind, the harder it is for you to get back on track. When you feel like you’re going to the deep end, you need to throw the rope and pull yourself together. Carefully laid-out strategies will help you form habits and stick with them until they turn into your instincts.
Losing motivation doesn’t happen in a swift snap of a finger; it’s a slow, draining process that makes you feel guilty for having not accomplished anything in a day. You feel unproductive and hate yourself for it but you’re not doing anything to get back on track. It can happen most times when you don’t have the passion for doing your job or when everything feels like a daunting obligation. But it can also happen even when you like what you’re doing, and that’s the worst feeling. It’s not the same with completely losing your passion for something, but it surely makes you feel that way sometimes.
