Waiting is tiresome and frustrating. So many thoughts come to mind when you don’t know what to expect. It is never easy, but it is necessary. Uncertain times are always present. They are there to test our patience and perseverance to keep going, and without these difficulties, we have no way of measuring our strengths. Our dreams do not come true once we believe or manifest them to come alive.
When we wait, we wait for God’s intercession. We trust in His perfect timing and do not demand Him to fit His plans according to ours. When we wait, we accept the unpredictability of life— how tables can turn in a blink of an eye, when you least expect it. We fully surrender our cares and worries to God, because He is the creator and designer of our fate.
Upon entering your twenties, you realize there never seems to be enough time to do what you want. Each day passes so quickly, barely enough for you to keep up with big changes happening. Just pondering on how different your life was a decade ago brings tears to your eyes. As you grow older, you can’t shake off the fear that someday time is going to catch up to you, and you’ll be left with failed dreams and regrets.
Everyone dreams to be in a healthy and long-term relationship until the difficult days come. It takes a lot of hard work and patience for a relationship to work and maintain long-term. Unfortunately, not everyone is willing to sacrifice for the person they love. Not everyone is ready to compromise when dilemmas come out of nowhere. It seems that everybody wants the pretty side of love until they face the truth that it isn’t pretty at all. Nowadays, people see a long-term relationship as a luxury or a privilege because not everybody can maintain a relationship for years, or possibly until marriage. As sad as this sounds, this is reality.
Change your nasty attitude because it’s the only way to live a better life for yourself. If you continue to live a life with a horrible personality, no one will ever want to get to know you. When you get older, no one will come to visit you when you’re sick. No one will give you food when you run out. No one will be there for you when you’re dead. What you give to others will eventually come back to you.
The secret to having a long-lasting romantic relationship is to be mutually good and true to one another. Recognize your role in the relationship and be committed to it. You have to be openly vulnerable to your other half as you’re vulnerable to yourself. Ever wondered why you couldn’t maintain a relationship for at least a year? If you find yourself always getting into a new relationship, it would either be you’re not ready to be in one or you’re choosing the wrong person for you.
